A Study into the Mental Health & Wellbeing of Care Workers

Please spare a few minutes to complete Red Umbrella's survey on Mental Health in the social care sector which, as far as we are aware, is the first of its kind in the UK.
We are all aware that working in the care sector is an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling role to have. It can also be stressful, emotional and overwhelming at times. It is generally recognised that poor mental health can be an issue within the care sector, but there isn't always a lot of information out there as to how big an issue.
Over the next few months Red Umbrella are going to be reaching out to the whole care sector and asking for people to share their views and experiences on mental health within care. At the end of this, they will be publishing a report into their findings. Crucially, they are not stopping there. Once they have their data, they will look at how they do something about these results, and put forward strategies and practical responses that can be applied throughout the care sector, from care home managers to individual carers. It is not enough to understand the problem, Red Umbrella want to create resources to address them.
The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous, although you can provide an email address to stay informed about the progress of the study if you would like to.
We know your time is precious, but we truly believe that together, we can make a real difference to the mental wellbeing in the care sector.
