COVID-19 - Care England Update 21.03.2020
“Last night I was on a conference call with the Prime Minister, Chancellor and Secretary of State for Business. The Prime Minister wanted to thank everybody for their incredible commitment and hard work at this time of National Emergency.
The chancellor hopes that the support he announced yesterday for business would help to sustain organizations through this difficult time, so that they would continue to survive until the current health emergency was over.
Care England will continue to put our messages into the top of government and try to ensure that we have the required resources to support people during this current emergency.
On Tuesday I am due to give evidence to the Health and Social Care Select Committee and this will be another opportunity to identify what the sector needs to be to be sustainable, both now and in the future.”
Therefore, Care England would very much appreciate members comments, examples and issues in relation to Covid-19. These will be used to elucidate current developments to members of the Health and Social Care Committee.
